Solar recipe: Peppers stuffed with vegetables
Here’s a new recipe for Vegetable Stuffed Peppers, made by our Solar Sister Francine with the SunGlobe parabolic solar cooker.

Ingredients for 4 people :
- 5 peppers, part of which is cut horizontally, leaving the stalk intact.
- 5 white onions, thinly sliced
- 30 basil leaves
- 5 sprigs chopped chives
- 75 g grated Gruyère cheese
- 1 head garlic
- 3 c. tablespoon olive oil
Preparing the vegetable-stuffed peppers
- After deseeding the peppers, place them in the pan in which we’ve added the olive oil.
- Blend the garlic and basil.
- Mix with grated Gruyère, chives and onions.
- Reserve 2 tbsp.
tablespoons of this mixture to put on the peppers for gratinating. - Stuff the peppers with this mixture.
- Put the caps back on the peppers and cover with the rest of the mixture.
A quick reminder: cooking time always depends on the utensil used, its thickness and color.
The thinner the metal and the darker the color, the faster it cooks!
